I had an EKG the other night.
It had been a couple days of just "not feeling right". This led me to WebMD (never, never, never go on that website), which then had me starting to worry that I was having a heart attack, which then you stress out about because I am only 39! I'm not old enough to have a heart attack.
So then every little twitch, ache or pain becomes amplified, because of course you are dying now, right?
I mean I had ALL the symptoms....shoulder pain (probably because of the hours I have spent in front of the computer), chest heaviness (I might have been wrong about that), fatigue (that could have been because I was not drinking as much coffee), chills (because, well, Alaska), the list goes on.
I just new I was having a heart attack (at the bottom of this blog post I do list symptoms to be aware of). So I made my husband take me to Urgent Care -- because there was NO WAY I was paying the bill for going to the Emergency Room.
So leaving 3 wide eyed kids at home, who all looked slightly panicked, we went in. Of course, by the time we got there I felt normal again. But, its always better to be on the safe side.
Lab work and an EKG later, I was given the all clear and sent home with instructions to get a massage and not work so much (I started laughing at this one, I mean, I am opening a store!) But, I did learn a valuable lesson!
Ok, be healthy!
