Wait, before we dive into this, I would love to stay in touch! Click here!

Ever sit back and wonder what you did wrong as a parent? Yeah? Good. Because, I want to know what I did wrong, to make it where my 17 year old gets to go to France for 8 days without me???

Who says that is fair??

Don't give me the speech about wanting what is best for your kids. NO! I want to be selfish right now, I want to be slightly irritated that I don't get to go on a trip like that. Oh and, my 14 year old gets to go to Boston, DC, Philly and NYC!!

What is the world coming to that we moms get to stay at home, do laundry, clean the fridge, while our kids get to go galevanting around the world without us??

Ok yes, it is for school. Yes, they are amazing opportunities, but what about me?!

Me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, ....MOM!!!!

When do I get my trip? You know, that trip you get to take alone, so you only have to worry about you and no one else? Yeah, that trip. I have already laid it down that I WILL be taking a trip like that. One day I am going to roll home, say I am off, and be gone for a month! (True I did do this one time before when I went to Ireland - - only called home one time), but the point is I want that again.

It is not that traveling as a family isn't wonderful. But let's be real, seriously, it is traveling as family that is sometimes the biggest reason it does not feel like vacation for some of us (mainly that would be mom).

No, I want a vacation where no one calls me mom. Where I can eat when and what I want, only pick up after myself, do what I want to do.

That is what I want.

So go children. Go to France. Go to NYC. Board those planes and fly off on your big adventures. But FYI, Hawaii is looking like a solo trip now!

Thanks for reading! (Comments are amazing, and I love connecting)!
