Have you ever wanted something so bad, that you know that if you don't get it that life will never be the same? But, you don't know where to start, and the whole task seems really daunting?
That is how I feel about my business, and opening a store. I want it so bad that it hurts sometimes! It takes all of my focus it seems like, I mean thankfully I have a husband who makes sure I eat or I would always work.  There is so much to do, that I literally am not sure how I will get it all done.
But (yep there is a but to all of this)........great things happen when you want something bad enough!
Today I stood in what will be my first brick and mortar shop, and took it all in. Such a surreal experience, that this is really happening. (As I take a moment to freak out!) I mean, I am just a small island girl from Alaska! I have never owned a store like this, haven't even ever worked in one! I don't have a degree, or fancy credentials, so what makes me think this is a good idea??? Why didn't anyone stop me??
Because this is the next step in my vision, one of the images on my vision board. This is something I feel called to do, something deep within me is telling me that I am making the right move. It feels really freaking scary, and there are a lot of unknowns, but at the same time it feels right. All the hours of work, the money spent, the stress, anxiety, worry, has led me to this.
What is really  incredible, is that I didn’t do it alone. Everyone I have met, spoke to, shared a conversation with, hugged, laughed with, all of these people have helped me to get here.
Isn’t the power of community amazing?
Isn’t the realization you can do what your passionate about, simply inspiring?
I can’t wait to open the doors and invite everyone in. I can’t wait  to help others on their journey. To teach them, maybe inspire them to take the next step. Oh the wonder it will be!
If you have something that you want to do, put it out there. Talk about it all the time. Be excited. Learn from others. Be curious. Most important, do not do it alone. I promise you, that when you accept the idea that there are people who want to help, strangers at the beginning, but friends at the end. When you accept that, amazing, brilliant things begin to happen.
